The decade of the 60s, and the catalyst of creativity that was ignited in London, captured the imagination to such an extent that it has resulted in a vast volume of written accounts, varying in detail and accuracy, and creating many myths. The old cliché ‘if it’s a choice between presenting the myth or the reality, we prefer the myth’ is something London 60s week doesn’t accept and as a result we intend to create the largest and most authentic database about London in the 60s to be attempted so far.
That remarkable decade saw elements of popular culture in almost every field take a leap which reverberated around the world as a group of creative and innovative young men and women found themselves at the epicentre of the world’s biggest cultural phenomenon.
In addition to our core group of actual movers-and-shakers from those times, we are seeking your own personal memories and accounts, the real experiences which you recall, which we would like you to share with us and the other lovers of the decade.
