WHAT'S ON NEWS

London led the fashion world for the whole of the 60s with a handful of young designers and a few cheap, rented shops. A fashion revolution poured from a few short streets in London to the front page of every fashion magazine on the planet. London fashion of this period made such an impact that you can see its influence in the clothing of every decade since.
Mods & Miniskirts intends to celebrate this past by encouraging a new generation of designers to embellish and stamp their unique 21st-century talents on the iconic designs of vintage 60s style.
Through working with London’s top fashion colleges and designers, past and present, and collaborating with charity clothing stores and retailers, this project aims to celebrate intergenerational creativity while highlighting recycled vintage designs as the cutting-edge style of the moment. Supported by top UK designers who led the Fashion world in the 1960s, Mods & Miniskirts will empower new designers to again lead London to the forefront of fashion design through its fashion shows, stitching workshops, pop-up shops, window displays and master classes.
